Get Started
So glad you’ve decided to pursue bridge!
Whether you are a bridge player or a teacher, we have everything you need to start your program. Materials and stipends are available through the School Bridge Lesson Program (below). A copy of the Jump Start and How to Teach Bridge material is also available for download. Be sure and check out the other resources below. View help videos here. If you need technical bridge assistance, email patty@jumpstartbridge.org.
Step 1: Learn About the Program
Jump Start Bridge makes it easy to bring bridge into your classroom, with no prior bridge experience required. Our program gives teachers the tools to help students build logic, math skills, memory, teamwork, communication, and confidence through bridge.
Need the full roadmap?
View the detailed Getting Started Guide for the complete setup process, including getting an ACBL number, choosing a course, ordering materials, requesting support, and applying for a stipend.
Step 2: Obtain your ACBL number
Before ordering supplies or requesting program support, teachers need an American Contract Bridge League (ACBL) number. Jump Start Bridge works closely with the ACBL School Bridge Program to help teachers bring bridge to students, and your ACBL number connects you to school bridge resources, including materials, support, and stipend opportunities.
Please use your school email when signing up.
Step 3: Get Set Up
Once you have your ACBL number, you can choose the course that best fits your students and request class materials through the ACBL School Bridge Program. The program helps teachers bring bridge to youth by providing school bridge resources, student supplies, teacher materials, and stipend opportunities.

Step 4: Start teaching
Once your materials are in place, you’re ready to start teaching. Our program is flexible and designed to fit your classroom, with ongoing support available whenever you need it.
